Dieting For Less

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:50 pm

Okay so for all you dieters out there and all of you hoping to lose weight this holiday season, get ready because the following are the secrets to not only losing weight but saving money as you do it. First of all, change your diet. It’s not necessary to get on a diet plan like Medifast unless you really want to and can afford it.  All you need to do is cut the white out of your life! That’s right. No more white food.  No potatoes, no rice, no pasta, no bread, no crackers, no white sugar, no flour. Just by doing this, you will eliminate a lot of the foods that get you fat and keep you that way. Try to stick to a diet consisting of fruits veggies and lean meats. With a diet like this you will definitely lose more than 5 pounds per week. Next, drink plenty of water. Nothing can beat the effects water has on your body and your skin so try to drink as much as possible; 2 liters a day is recommended which is equivalent to 4 water bottles.

Finally, add a little bit of exercise to the daily routine. Eating a healthy diet will be enough to help you lose weight, but adding exercise in will push your body over the top from average to fine! 30 minutes of cardio a day and a little weight lifting will do it. Remember it doesn’t take much, you don’t have to do Medifast but by all means do if you want to; you just have to stick to it!

Everybody wants to lose weight, but nobody wants to spend an arm and a leg trying to do it. Losing weight is not easy to do without some assistance, which is why people spend money on personal trainers, workout tapes, exercise equipment, treadmills, workout clothing, water bottles, books, magazines and other health and fitness stuff that they simply aren’t going to use. The truth is that most of us really don’t have the time to put into any of these items and we don’t really know enough about working out to use them properly. A Family That Eats Together…

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:47 pm

You’ve probably heard that saying that “a family that prays together, stays together”. Well this saying is very potent and has a lot of truth in it. The most important aspect of our life is our spiritually life and wellbeing and by taking care of those needs as a family, you are more likely to stay together as a family. The second most important aspect of our life is our physical health. So you might imagine the saying above to be reformed as follows: a family that eats together, lives together. It is important that the family not only pray as a unit but eat as a unit as well. When a family eats together, they can positively influence one another to eat healthy and responsibly so that everyone in the family is physically fit and nourished. Husbands and wives should agree on a healthy, wholesome and tasty diet for their families and should stick to those eating habits. An example of such a diet would be like the Medifast diet plan, but could be another healthy eating plan

Meal plans like the Medifast diet plan are good and tasty and are a good baseline for what a healthy diet plan should look like. Families, though, should not just commit to eating the same things but should also eat together at the dinner table. This certainly provides the best platform for a healthy family life.

My Personal Diet Testimonial

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:00 pm

So lately, I have to admit that I have not been sticking to my dieting routine. I have been eating whatever I want, whenever I want and it hasn’t been good. This year a tried an awesome diet that had me cut out rice, potatoes, pasta, and bread from my diet and I lost over 20 pounds in 1 month. But now I can’t seem to pick that diet back up and stay on it. I have been eating out almost everyday, everything from delicious mexican food to italian food to my own homemade creole cuisine. I can’t tell you when the last time was that I ate a vegetable….or that last time I saw one for that matter. But I’m here to say that it is ok. Life isn’t perfect, and neither are we. I am only human. So I wanted to share the fact that I had fallen off of my weight loss plan, but I am here to stay that I’m climbing back on! I’m going to start again on my diet plan, which is similar to that of the Medifast Diet program and I am going to begin again!

Today I vow to begin again on my journey to weight loss and healthy living. I am going to put down the tacos, enchiladas, and ravioli, and pick up a carrot. I’m going to put down my cup of starbuck’s and pick up a bottle of water. Today I vow to be better than I was yesterday and I’m going to do my best to live like the Medifast diet plan outlines. This way I’ll be healthier, I’ll spend less money eating out, which means more money in my pocket,  and I’ll feel much better about myself. Anyone going through this same situation, just know that you too can make it out of it and be born again! Best Wishes!
