Getting Ready For New Years Resolutions

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:20 pm

Now that Christmas is over I’m sure that we can all agree that most of us ate too much during the holidays. Summer is right around the corner and if there is any chance that we are going to fit into those spring bikinis, we had better get started as soon as possible. First things first, get rid of all those cakes, pies, dressings, and anything else that is likely to cause bloating, fatigue, or weight gain. That doesn’t mean eat it, that means give it away to someone else. Next, decide on a diet plan and do it quick; there is no time to lose. Some people have tried Medifast, others Nutri-system, and still others Atkins. Whatever your poison, get ready because January 1st is almost here. Make a promise to yourself. You are going to stay on this diet come heck or high water. Quiters never prosper and quiters never win. You won’t be a quiter this year no matter how much you want to.

Finally, save yourself some money. Don’t order any exercise tapes unless they are on sale, don’t get Medifast without a coupon and try to do as much exercise as you can in the great outdoors. Why? Because it’s free. All you need are 2 arms and 2 legs to work out, and some might argue that you don’t even need that. Run, walk, jog, bike, swim, do jump and jacks; bottom line, take it back to basics. Do the exercises you were raised on. Get yourself back in shape in the new year, and get ready for the new you!

The Night Before Christmas….with a little twist

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:07 pm

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The meal replacement program was put in the refridgerator with care,
In hopes that weight loss goals soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their bed,
While visions of bikinis and 6 pack abs danced in their mother’s head.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Medifast, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of meals he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
he really needs the Medifast Diet to myself i said.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”

Save Santa Claus Some Money This Year!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:55 pm

Every year for Christmas, children ask Santa Claus for big items that they are sure that their parents won’t buy them. Yet and still, they ask for them anyway. The only problem is that we are currently in an economic recession which means that most of you parents are not going to be able to afford all the toys and trimmings this year as you usually would. It is vitally important that children understand that Santa’s bank account is a little limited this year, and not just limited when it comes to your child, but when it comes to all the little children. Santa isn’t trying to discriminate but let’s face it, everyone in America is having a tough time this year. However, you don’t want to have a tree that is too bare. You are just going to have to be creative in your approach to Christmas gifts this year. For example, you may consider giving your kids coupons for fun days in the future. One coupon may be for a day of hot dogs and ice cream at the local amusement park. Another coupon may be for a trip to the movies. That way you aren’t hit with the financial burden of providing these gifts until later.

As parents though, you may have to hold off on buying gifts for yourselves. If the wife wants to start a new Medifast diet, she may have to wait until next year. For now she will have to be content with eating salads.

Stop Clipping Coupons

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:54 pm

Remember the old days when your grandmother, your mother, and you would spend all of Sunday afternoon clipping coupons from the newspaper? You would carefully cut out all kinds of coupons for all kinds of products including laundry detergent, whole chickens, fruits, vegetables, and more. Then you’d go to the grocery store and at the check-out counter, you would hand the clerk all of your coupons and wait eagerly to see how much money you had saved. Well those days may be fun to reminisce on and think about, but you don’t have to clip coupons anymore! Nowadays, everything is electronic so if you are clipping coupons then consider yourself left behind in the stone ages. No matter whether you are shopping online, or shopping in person, you do not need to clip coupons to receive great discounts.  Most products and companies that have e-commerce websites usually have discount and coupon codes readily available for you to use so that all you have to do is type in the code at check out and receive your discount. Medifast.com, Amazon.com, and Macys.com all have this feature built into their online sites.

If you are shopping in stores, you can join mailing and emailing lists that will allow you to automatically receive discounts for shopping. Ann Taylor, Borders Books, and Gap.com are among some of the stores that will email and keep track of coupons that you can use. So never pay more for products and stop clipping coupons!

Why The Obama’s Look So Good

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:52 pm

We have had 43 presidents of the United States of America, but none have looked better than our current first couple President and Mrs. Barack Obama. They are one of the hottest political couple to grace the political stage. They both have and amazing presence, are extremely fashionable, and both are in great shape. They are not on the Medifast diet plan, and as a matter of fact we don’t know if they are on a diet plan at all, but we do know that they both look great. From First Lady Michelle Obama’s concern with children’s health in schools, we know that health is an important concern to her. We also know that it’s an important issue to President Obama as well as healthcare is at the top of his agenda. While we can only speculate as to why they look great, here are a few reasons we think they look so good. Having two young children definitely has something to do with why the Obama’s are so in shape. Sasha and Malia are rather young considering that the Obama’s are in their forties, so it is sure that they want to be healthy just so that they can keep up with their daughters.

They probably both participate in physical activity. We know that the President really loves playing basketball and the First Lady probably also enjoys some kind of sport herself. They are definitely always on the go which means that they don’t have time to be coach potatoes. These are just a few of the reasons why they are probably in shape and not in need of a Medifast Diet program!
